  • "End of Days - Zombie Apocalypse!" is a Long Distance motorcycle event that is 32 hours in duration. Check-in begins on Friday, July 20, 2012. The competitive riding begins Saturday morning, July 21 and ends Sunday afternoon, July 22. The start and finish is in Ely, Nevada. There is one MANDATORY checkpoint midway through the event, however, the location of this checkpoint will only be known to Zombies. Let's hope you're one of them.
  • New for Cognoscente Group events: a fully-functional SPOT unit (or equivalent) is MANDATORY! You will not participate in this event without one. You must provide EODZA staff with your Spotwalla link that depicts your location and time. A SPOT exercise will be performed midway through your Odometer Course. Details will be provided at Tech Inspection.
  • The absolute minimum number of miles to be considered a Zombie Finisher is 1,649 corrected miles. Anything less is a DNF.
  • The maximum allowable number of "End of Days" players is limited to 50 Zombies. Your entry is not official until your entry fee is paid. Once we have 50 paid Zombies on the roster, a standby list will be created in chronological order of date/time-stamped registration entries. Zombie entries are first come, first served.
  • The format for "End of Days - Zombie Apocalypse!" is as sick as it can be. Bring your laptops and mapping software if you like... perhaps the laptop can be used as shade in Death Valley. Or, you can see if your laptop floats when tossed into the Wretched Lake of Fire! Among other sicknesses, there will be several threads that you may choose among, all of which carry a dark End of Days theme.
  • Typical IBA/MERA rules are in effect. Maximum fuel capacity is 11.5 gallons. Fuel logs will NOT be required. Cameras are required; digital or Polaroid (for digital cameras, it is your responsibility to ensure the ScoreKeeper can access/copy your digi-pics to his system, typically via USB Flash drive). A working GPS is a good idea, though not required. Riders may plot routes and ride together, if desired.
  • Hotel discount information will be sent to you upon receipt of your entry fee. Amplifying event information will be provided in your Rally Pack that will be sent to you in mid-May.
